Georgia 4-Star DB remains high on Alabama after visiting for Florida State game

Tyler Boyd made his way back to Alabama to visit the Crimson Tide for their matchup against Florida State last Saturday.

Boyd is a 2028 four-star defensive back, and he attends Carrollton High School in Georgia. He holds offers from Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, Oregon and others as one of the best junior defensive back prospects in the country.

Saturday’s trip marked another great visit to Tuscaloosa for the Peach State prospect.

“Alabama was great,” Boyd said. “I had a fantastic time.”

Alabama remains in a great position with the four-star after the visit.

“I think they are high in my recruitment,” Boyd told Touchdown Alabama.

At 6-foot and 185 pounds, Boyd flashes the potential to be a complete all-around defensive back in the future. He is more than just a willing tackler, and this is something the Alabama staff likes to prioritize at every position on defense. The confidence he plays with at cornerback jumps out on film. One can see he understands the nuance of staying square to the line of scrimmage as long as possible before transitioning into flipping his hips and running with wide receivers when needed.
